Micky

I got this little dude yesterday (10-03-2014). One of my co-workers said he was looking for a permanent home. At first, I said, ‘no way!’. I have to many dogs already. As if, we needed another dog. After seeing the him, it was love at first sight. I just couldn’t resist this tiny little fellow. His name was Tank. I’m going to call him Micky. We already have a Minnie so I thought it was fitting. Micky’s story is not unique. He came from a loving home prior to coming here. The young lady who had him, was having her first baby and didn’t think she could give him the quality time he needed when her baby arrived. She was heart-broken at the thought of giving him up. I let her know he would be taken care of and she was very courageous for her choice. I could tell she was comfortable letting me have the little guy.

It didn’t take long for him to become attached. He’s quite the character. He has such an awesome personality. The ride home was uneventful. Micky curled up in the passenger seat and fell asleep. When we arrived home my husband thought, once again I might add, “are you nuts?” I really didn’t think about what he’d say prior to my arrival. He knows me well. And after 30 years he understands what I’m all about.  I love critters! Besides, this guy is so small, I didn’t think he’d notice, much. lol I’m not sure how much he weighs, but I bet he doesn’t weigh as much as a five pound sack of sugar. He truly is a pint sized pooch. So here’s to a new beginning for all of us.

OK that’s it – once done with rambunctious, high maintenance dogs, I’m moving on to smaller ones like this🙂 Just SO cute!
