Jewels: And Her New Friend

It’s been hectic here. My husband is now under the care of hospice and doing well, all things considered. As a result. I’ve spent on the average of a couple of hours a day with the horses. It consists of the morning and evening feeding. Some is better than none. To kill two birds with one stone. I brush her while she’s eating hay. I don’t have time for much more. My husband requires a lot more care these days.

This morning while fixing breakfast, I looked out my kitchen window and noticed Jewels had company. There was a cute little bird following her around. It was pecking at her nose while she was chewing on grasses in the yard. I was amazed. Jewels wasn’t bothered by it at all. God always manages to bring joy, even when things seem hard.

It sounds to me as if you are a very brave woman. Finding joy in a bird touches my heart as I love watching birds. As hard as life can be, we just keep moving and noticing the things God sends to make our days a little brighter. Good for you!

Sometimes those little moments can be what keeps you going, and too many people miss them. Take care of yourself, and keep finding those little moments of joy!
