It finally quit raining for a few hours yesterday. Our whole place is a mud hole. I don’t think there’s a dry spot any where. I don’t do much complaining about the rain. We can always use it. It gets so hot and dry during the summer. To top it off, it’s still nice and cool outside. The temperature was 63 yesterday. It’s almost unheard of this time of year. Normally it’s 80 or above.
I saddled Jewels, yesterday, for the fourth time this week. I haven’t ever ridden her this much in a week. I can see a tremendous difference in the way she handles. Consistency is definitely the key. I already knew this, but given the many circumstances in my life as of late, it’s been next to impossible to stay consistent. I didn’t do any schooling while riding. Instead, we just rode over obstacles and through water standing in the pasture.
I can’t tell you what a joy, Jewels is becoming to ride. There are times when Jewels makes me believe, she’s having as much fun as I am.
